We strive to be the quickest when it comes to getting our customers the fairest price for their firearm. That's why, once your gun is received, inspected by our staff, and approved by you, payments are guaranteed to be mailed the next business day.

HOW LONG IS AN OFFER VALID?

Unlike our competitors, our offers never expire.

HOW DO I SHIP MY GUN TO YOU?

CalibersSwap will cover the costs of the necessary shipping supplies to safely mail your firearm to us. This includes an appropriate sized box for shipping your gun, a prepaid shipping label, and specific shipping instructions.

CAN I GET MY FIREARM BACK AFTER SHIPPING IT TO YOU?

By shipping us your firearm, you are agreeing to sell it to us at the price we’ve offered. We do our best to be accommodating if things change, and you decide to cancel the process. In which case, we can ship your firearm back to you; however, by law, we have to ship the firearm to an FFL (Federal Firearms License) holder of your choice, who will then legally transfer the firearm back to you. This is the law in accordance with firearm transfers in the United States.

ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN FEES OR TAXES?

Absolutely, not! The final price you are offered after the inspection is complete is the price you will receive.

HOW DO I START THE PROCESS?

You will be able to complete this transaction entirely online. You only need to fill out the completed form describing your gun here. You will then receive an offer via email, which you can accept or decline. 

WHERE IS MY SERIAL NUMBER?

Most firearm serial numbers are located on the frame or receiver.

HOW DO I TAKE PICTURES OF MY FIREARM?

Any digital camera is acceptable. We request that the images show at least the right-hand and left-hand side of the firearm, as well as any identifying marks.

AM I REQUIRED TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK TO SELL A FIREARM TO CALIBERSWAP?

A background check is not required for you to sell us a firearm, however our terms and conditions mandate that the seller is the rightful owner, and able to legally possess firearms. Please see Terms and Conditions for full details here.

HOW IS THE VALUE OF MY FIREARM DETERMINED?

There are a variety of factors that make up the value; age, condition, and overall market in the industry are the main criteria used.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY FIREARM DOESN'T PASS YOUR INSPECTION?

If the overall condition varies greatly from the seller’s description and/or sent images or if a different gun is sent from what was entered on the original form our gunsmith and appraisal team will amend the initial offer to reflect the condition of the firearm. The seller will then have the opportunity to either accept or reject the amended final offer at which point CaliberSwap will either issue payment the next business day or will ship the firearm back to the seller if the offer is rejected at no cost (per ATF regulations, any firearm that is returned to the seller must be shipped to a verified FFL before being transferred to the seller. CaliberSwap is not responsible for any fees chargedby the FFL).

I HAVE A FIREARM THAT IS NOT LISTED ON YOUR WEBSITE, WILL YOU BUY IT?

Yes, we purchase all types of firearms even if they are not listed on our website. Just send us a photo of your gun and we’ll help identify and appraise it.

DO YOU PURCHASE BLACKPOWDER FIREARMS?

We are not currently accepting blackpowder firearms at this time.
